For Daphne, the glass is always half full, a situation is better managed with a dab of lip gloss, and the boy of her dreams—the one she’s read about in all of her novels—is waiting for her just around the corner. For Gabby, nothing ever works out positively; wearing any form of makeup is a waste of study time, and boys will only leave you heartbroken. Her best friend, Mule, is the only one who has been there for her every step of the way. But when the richest boy in town befriends Gabby, and Daphne starts to hang out more and more with her best and only friend, Mule, Gabby is forced to confront the emotional barriers she has put up to stop the hurting. And for once, her sassiness may fall prey to her definition of stupidity.

I remember seeing when Brock and I were late for our wedding and I liked the idea of a happy ending may vary.

Although I do not see myself teaching this soon, I would definitely recommend Sass & Serendipity by someone trying to get in Austen, or perhaps want to compare contrast traditional / with modern novels. A good article could be written on the characterization. It is a very faithful adaptation of Sense and Sensibility, and you can enjoy Jane Austen’s stories, it would be a weekend read for you.

The plot is a bit ‘predictable, stereotyped characters, but a pleasure to read everything.

That said, I liked the writing style and Ziegler thought the story was sweet. I was pleased to see that the girls have begun to change, even if it took all the latest pages.

As with most novels of Jane Austen story focuses on the transformation of character, but in this revision I felt that the characters suffer any change that was a bit ‘too late, if you know what I mean.

The only thing that most of the girls Barton, Texas can only speak of the next ball. That goes with that, bought that dress and where to go for dinner in advance – these are the hot topics of the school.

I expected more to happen between the two sisters. Still, not too bad.

Gabby was just angry and cynical and too young to be so tired as it was. She is a strong character, but he did not want to depend on anyone, except perhaps her best friend, Mule, and only then she complained of her life. In both of the girls was a bit ‘of growth and have been very happy about that. And I thought it was really hard on lot Daphne. I tore a bit ‘when Gabby faced his father of his problems, but I was happy to see the end of that mom and dad do not grow some of them.

Gabby is the largest, cold, sarcastic and cynical, always looking for an escape from their small Texas town.
